Frankfort Meeting and Event Center

Red Draw Development was selected in 2026 as the City’s development partner to deliver the project through a public-private partnership. The Meeting & Event Center represents a major milestone in Frankfort’s long-term vision to create a more connected, walkable, and economically vibrant downtown.

• The Frankfort Meeting and Event Center is prominently located between Clinton and Mero Streets with a public plaza space that fronts onto the extension of Washington Street from Broadway Street. The public plaza is designed as a welcoming urban oasis that invites residents and visitors to engage with one another in a comfortable, sustainable setting. Generous open planting areas, with native trees, shrubs, grasses, and seasonal flowering plants, provide shade, enhance biodiversity, and create a buffer between the plaza and the public street.
• Programming for the proposed Frankfort Meeting and Event Center focuses on hosting meetings and banquets, as well as re-emerging in the rotation to host state and regional conferences. Located in the state capital, the venue will place a strong emphasis on government and educational events. The center will also place significant emphasis on bourbon-related affairs, collaborating with renowned local distilleries such as Buffalo Trace to offer unique experiences. Additionally, the venue plans to host a multitude of special events, including banquets and festivals that tie into Frankfort’s rich history and partner with local organizations. With its expansive facilities and strategic programming, the venue will become a leading destination for both professional and cultural events in the region.
